REMEMBERING THE BLACK SOLDIER
Memorial Day is a federal holiday on the last Monday of May to commemorate that military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. What does this day mean to African American soldiers serving in the United States military? Is it a day of sadness as they think of those who served with them and lost their lives or do they reminisce of their experiences while serving in active duty?
The Sankofa Council of Milwaukee radio broadcast will provide an opportunity for Black Vets and active personnel to share their military experience with our listening audience. Hosting this conversation are Dr. Janine James and Sister Dee Dee Conley.
The Sankofa Council of Milwaukee radio broadcast is an affiliate 0f the Black Reality Think Tank Radio Network.
