“Time for an Awakening” with Bro. Elliott, Sunday 9/04/2022 at 7:00 PM (EST) guests in the first segment was Activist, Organizer, of The Black Liberation Movement in Mississippi,Patrick Lumumba, Activist, Coach Obasi, Activist David Medezy and Activist, Organizer, director of the Black Autonomy Network of Community Organizations (BANCO), Rev. Edward Pinkney. The Family shared with us the efforts of the Black Liberation Movement and Mississippi on the Move to organize and aid our people in the midst of the devastating water crisis in Jackson, in a State with a long bloody history of racial attacks and oppression against Black people. Rev. Pinkney offered his assistance on what he has done in Benton Harbor Michigan in a similar water crisis. Guests in the second segment was Activist, Organizer, founder of the Community Center Without Walls, Clifton Earl Abrams, Activist, Artist Bro.Kindo, Activist, Journalist, Editor-In-Chief of the Black Westchester and Co-Owner of Urban Soul Media Group, AJ Woodson, and Damon K. Jones, Activist , Author, Black Westchester Magazine, a Black-owned and operated newspaper based in Westchester County. We talked with our guest about controversy around the historical mural in the Black community that contains an image of Minister Louis Farrakhan. And according to our guests it exposes a bigger issue that our communities nationwide must deal with.
