Transforming Racial PART 2: PREVENTING DEATHS OF BLACK MOTHERS AND BABIES/-SOLUTIONS.
Join Sankofa Council of Milwaukee and Hosts Baba Kwodjo Robinson and Dr. Janine James in a discussion with Baba Fred Royal, Former President of the Milwaukee chapter of the NAACP, and Dalvery Blackwell, co-founder of the African American Breastfeeding Network.
Our guests represent organizations who are providing solutions to the racial disparities that continue to threaten the lives of black women and their babies. This is our legacy. They need help from our community to transform the conditions that are contributed to by racism. In the spirit of Sankofa, let’s look back at what is missing, and speak into existence, a new future for Milwaukee. To accomplish this, we must as a community of committed listeners and speakers be present to consider strategies for moving forward to eliminate those conditions that can potentially destroy us.
