A CONVERSATION ON THE LITERARY GENIUS OF JAMES BALDWIN
The Black Reality Think Tank conversation for this week is with a “James Baldwin scholar, Dr. Stephane DunnWriter-Filmmaker, Professor (Morehouse CTEMS), Cinema, Television, & Emerging Media Studies. Dr. Dunn holds a PhD, MFA, and a MA from Notre Dame. She is a frequent moderator and host for discussions of race and gender and is the author of the book, Baad Bitches & Sassy Supermamas: Black Power Action Films (University of Illinois Press) and the forthcoming novel Snitchers.
Our conversation will focus on James Baldwin as an essayist, playwright, novelist, and voice of the American civil rights movement. He is known for works including ‘Notes of a Native Son,’ ‘The Fire Next Time’ and ‘Go Tell It on the Mountain.
