REAL MEN DON’T BEAT THEIR WOMEN: HEALING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY
We must address the issue of domestic violence in the African American community now. The Black Reality Think Tank will convene a panel of specialist from the Alma Center in Milwaukee. Using the best research available, the center has developed a group of core programs to support men who desire to live a more productive lifestyle, be better fathers, husbands and community role models. The programs are Men Ending Violence, Restorative Fatherhood, Wisdom Walk to Self-Mastery, and Reentry Services.
Mr. Kitonga Alexander and James Mosley, the staff of the Alma Center will discuss the cause, effect, and solutions to family violence in our community.
The goals and objective of the Black Reality Think Tank are to study and understand the past, in order to dissect the present and support implementing a meaningful future.
